There is not much difference in physical area. They have Same look & metal build quality, Same 5.5in full-HD (1920x1080, 401ppi) Optic AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4, Same 64GB Internal Storage & 6GB RAM, Same OxygenOS based android Mass mellow 6.01, Same Adreno GPU 530, Same 16Mp Sony IMX298 Real Camera, Same Fast Dash Charging.

So, what is new in OnePlus 3T here it is:

1. Snapdragon 821 Processor (10% better performance than Snapdragon 820 )

2. 16MP Front Selfi Camera (10 % better Selfi experience than 8MP)

3. 3400 MAh Battery (10 % long last then 3000 MAh)

So, should it better to upgrade to OnePlus 3T over OnePlus 3, well not really!

Because if u already using OnePlus 3 you should stay with it, but if u are a new user then u can defiantly go with new OnePlus 3T, u can only find few minor performance improvement in new OnePlus3T. If u have tight budget u can go with OnePlus 3 because it also a great device with great specification in that price bucket
